About

Izaac Enciso (b. Mexico City, 1980) is a film director and artist whose work is informed by a multidisciplinary background in photography, design, sculpture, and music. Drawing from these disciplines, he brings a broad artistic perspective to filmmaking, shaping a distinctive and informed directorial voice.

Before focusing on film directing, Enciso spent two decades working across both commercial and artistic contexts as an art director, creative director, photographer, and visual artist. His work has been exhibited internationally across the United States, Europe, China, and Mexico, and featured in fine art catalogs, magazines, and trade publications, while his commercial collaborations with international brands and agencies contributed to projects recognized with multiple industry awards. This multidisciplinary background fostered a research-driven practice rooted in observation, fieldwork, and visual experimentation, which continues to inform his approach to filmmaking.

Enciso completed a Master's Degree in Film Directing at ESCAC in Barcelona. His debut narrative short film, The Man on the Boat, marks a new chapter in his creative practice and the beginning of his work as a narrative filmmaker.

Through his films, Enciso explores themes of identity, transformation, relationships, and human connection through a poetic and experimental lens, often engaging with contemporary social and cultural realities. Alongside his narrative work, he continues to direct selected commercial and music-driven projects aligned with meaningful cultural, social, and environmental initiatives.
